About Ashley

Thanks for visiting my site and getting to know a bit more about me!

I am currently an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship at Auburn University (WAR EAGLE!). I received my PhD in Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and Organizations from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, my MBA and Master of Science Degree in Marketing from the University of Texas at Dallas, and my Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship and Small Business from Auburn University. My current research interests stem from my love of entrepreneurship and include how entrepreneurs gain financial and non-financial resources from stakeholders (i.e., investors, employees, customers). To see my current published work, check out my Google Scholar page here.

Prior to pursuing my PhD, I was a senior analyst and team lead at a large telecom company leading cost improvement initiatives for North America, as well as with numerous small businesses and start-ups directing marketing campaigns, customer retention strategies, and entrepreneurial growth plans. I also have started two small businesses – both were outlets for me to help others and bring my love of entrepreneurship to my daily life. One was a fitness and nutrition company (Rocca Fitness & Nutrition) and the other is a small business consulting firm (named Accorey Consulting).
